Practice doing good things so your habits will be positive rather than negative.
Ask Jesus to help you break bad habits early before you repeat them so much that it becomes very hard to tear that habit out of your life.
15 sheets of paper
Take one sheet of paper and tear it into half. Then put 3 sheets of paper on top of each other and try to tear them into two pieces.
The paper represents a bad habit or a fault. If you’ve only repeated it a few times it is fairly easy to break or “tear” it out of your life.
Now put 10 pieces of paper in a pile and try to tear the pile in half. Each time you put a new sheet of paper on the pile, it gets harder to tear.
When a sin is repeated again and again it becomes a habit. A habit is hard to break—or tear away from your life. That’s how bad habits begin to control you. Only Jesus can give you the strength to break bad habits. Pray that He will increase your will-power.
