It’s Mount Hood! This is a picture from the spot where I was putting my snowshoes on. That is one big mountain.
Snowshoes really make a big difference when walking in snow because you don’t sink in the snow as much.
Snowshoes also have claw-like cleats under the toes to help make sure I don’t slip.
Most of the time we were hiking up there was a cloud hanging around the summit of Mt Hood.
I walked for hours. You have to walk with a slow steady pace and make sure you are equipped with the correct gear and clothing.
Coming down was extra fun. If the slope is steep enough, you can just sit down and “glissade” down the mountain on your bottom!
