We started our trip from Peugeot Sound in Washington State.

Here’s a picture of the boat I took to go out and see the whales.

We went several miles out into ocean to see the whales.

Whenever we saw sea gulls congregating, we’d stop to see
if there were whales nearby.

I passed by a little island filled with lazy sea lions enjoying their time in the sun!

There’s a whale! Orca!

Here’s a pair of whales swimming side by side.
A group of whales is called a pod.

Orcas have a blowhole on the top of their head so they can breath. Remember, whales are mammals.

The whales we saw were very playful.
They would flick their tail fins out of the water and splash around.

Here’s another one doing the same thing. Looks like they’re having fun!

This one surfaced upside down. I guess this one didn’t get a breath this time up.
I think it was having more fun playing around!

Look, here’s a young one breaching! Cool!
