Q: A girl at my school asked me:Does God love people who aren't Seventh Day Adventists? I said yes, but I wasn't sure and didn't Want to disappoint my friend. Did I do the right thing in this situation?
A: Dear Alexus,
Thanks for sharing! You did exactly the right thing! The Bible says that God loves the whole world (see John 3:16). It also tells us that we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). We don’t believe God loves Seventh-day Adventists, or for that matter Baptists, Catholics, or Presbyterians more than anyone else. He loves all people the same. We choose to be Seventh-day Adventists because we believe the Adventist teachings follow the Bible most closely. One main teaching, of course, is the teaching of the seventh-day Sabbath. And because of our love for Jesus, we want to honor and obey Him and follow His word, and we want to invite others to do the same.

Thanks for writing, and remember, there's never been a better time to share Jesus!

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
