Q: My mom is 30 and she never returns my calls I sometimes get frustrated with people that love me what should I do?
A: Dear Alexis,
I was sorry to read your letter. There are things that happen to us in this world that hurt. I am assuming that you are not living with your mom? I can’t be sure why she doesn’t return your calls, but I don’t think it’s because she doesn’t love you. I believe your mother probably loves you very much. There may be other things that she is going through that make it hard to return calls.

The good news is that When you pray you cry because the holy spirit is speaking to your heart with groanings… The Bible tells us that “the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26). This means that the Holy Spirit places a burden on our hearts that leads us to pray how we should. So when you cry, it is because God is speaking to your heart. I know that may not make sense, because you’re sad when you cry. But sometimes when we pray in our sadness, God brings us His comfort and peace to cheer us up, even though we may have troubles in our lives. Keep praying, Alexis. Pray for your mom, and ask Jesus to touch her heart. Pray for yourself, and ask Jesus to give you strength and hope, and then put your TRUST in Jesus that He hears and answers our prayers IN HIS OWN TIME. He loves you and your mom very very much!
Thanks for writing, and remember, there's never been a better time to share Jesus!

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
