Q: What to do when you don't go to church?
A: Dear Abagail,
Going to church is a very special and important thing. Sometimes we have moms and dads who don't go to church or can't go to church, but we may know somebody else who does. You could always ask to go with a friend, or maybe an aunt or grandparents. You could even ask your parents if they would take you. They might say "Yes."

If there isn't any way you can get to church, maybe there is a church service on TV that you could watch, or you could maybe watch a Kids' Time program. Maybe there's something on the internet. Of course, you can always have church yourself, by reading in the Bible, singing some songs, and having time for prayer. But an important part of church is gathering with other believers. Maybe you can have church at home with your family members or friends. Do this for me – Pray to Jesus, and tell Him you want to go to church, and ask Him to help you be able to go. I'm sure He will make a way for you to go. Jesus promises us "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). Just keep praying until He answers. Don't give up! And don't forget to keep choosing to serve Jesus every day, and keep watching Kids' Time!

Thanks for writing, and remember, there's never been a better time to share Jesus!

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
