Q: Did giving birth to Jesus hurt Mary?
A: Dear Amy,
It always hurts for a woman to give birth, but very few women have to be sewed up after the birth. Sometimes the babies are too big for the birth canal, so the doctor needs to do a special delivery call a cesarean section, or c-section, when the stomach is cut open to get the baby out and then sewed back up. This was not what happened to Mary. But all mothers are happy to endure the pain because they love their children. When you think of the pain of childbirth, think of how much your mommy must love you to go through that pain just for you!

Thanks for writing, and remember, there's never been a better time to share Jesus!

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
