Shawn S. (11)
Q: Dear pastor, when the Sunday Law is past all over the world .will the devil be allowed to kill us?(the clear word bible says they wont kill us)
A: Dear Shawn S.,
The Bible tells us that there will be a death decree in the last days against all who refuse to receive the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:15). A study of Revelation makes it clear that the mark will be enforced through the legislation of Sunday as the Sabbath (Sunday laws). Your question is “will the devil be allowed to kill us?” The end-time conflict is almost identical to the story in Daniel 3 about the Fiery Furnace. The king made a law that violated God’s Ten Commandment law (bowing down to the image violated the 1st and 2nd commandments). Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel’s 3 friends, were threatened with death if they wouldn’t bow down to the image, just as God’s people at the end of time will be threatened with death if they don’t bow down to the image of the beast. The answer these 3 faithful youth gave the king is the answer to your question – “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” (Daniel 3:17-18). In other words, they knew God could deliver them from death, but He may choose not to. Either way, they knew He would be with them. If they were allowed to die, He would have given them courage, and of course the next thing they would know would be the resurrection.

Now we believe that when the actual death decree is passed, it will be after human probation has closed, and there will be no more death of Christians after that time; but there may be time just before the death decree and the close of probation, where some people who anticipate the death decree will take matters into their own hands before the decree is made. What we do know for certain is that God will be with His people, just as Jesus appeared in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Don’t spend your time worrying about what might come, but spend your time building a strong relationship with Jesus! Jesus Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5).

Thanks for writing, and remember, there's never been a better time to share Jesus!

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
