Charity (0)
Q: Why didn't satan die in the flood?
A: Dear Charity,
Dear Charity,
When God sent the great flood during the time of Noah it was to destroy all life which lived on land because people had become so wicked that there was no hope of them ever repenting again.

(NIV Genesis 6:5 "The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time".)

(NIV Genesis 6:7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth-- men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air-- for I am grieved that I have made them.")

Satan is an angel and not subject to the elements of nature as we are so he was able to survive. However, he will be destroyed in the lake of fire which God will use to purify the earth after the millennium is over and God returns to the earth in the New Jerusalem. (Revelation 20:10) After that God will recreate the surface of the earth as it was before Adam and Eve sinned and the righteous (those who love Jesus with all their heart and live for Him daily) will inherit the New earth.

Your friend,
Pastor Howard
