Vince Williams

Where do you live?
Crofton, Maryland

What characters have you played on Story Time (list as many as you can remember)?
King Nebuchadnezzar, King Solomon, King Darius, King Artaxerxes, Prime Minister to king Belshazzar, "The Ten Talents" rich master, the head servant in "The Wicked Rich Man", a tax collector, a servant to a prophet, the lead architect on "The Tower of Babel" , one of the three wise men in the Christmas story and Pharaoh on the story of Moses.

What character was your favorite and why?
Playing Pharaoh in the story of Moses is probably my favorite role of them all. I got to release my inner villain. It was probably the most fun I've had of all the roles I've played on Kids Time.

Watch Vince play the Master Builder in program #322  "Tower of Babel"

Favorite Story Time memory:
There are many, but among them would be dancing with Miss Brenda, during lunch, while dressed as a beggar (as an extra for a village seen) while the girl who played Mary, the mother of Jesus, vigorously strummed away a catchy tune on her violin. I will always cherish that memory.

What is you favorite Bible story (doesn't have to be one that you acted in--just in general) Why?
I have always loved the story of Moses. I watched "The Ten Commandments " on television countless times as a kid growing up which is why I took so much joy in playing the evil Pharaoh.

Favorite Bible verse?
Matthew 6:33. Seek first the kingdom of God and He will provide for all of your needs.

Encouraging words for today's kids:
You are so very special. God has a plan just for you. Don't be afraid to trust Jesus with your life and your dreams. If you are willing to be embarrassed, look silly, be laughed at, have people shake their heads in disbelief over things you do to further God's kingdom, there is absolutely nothing you cannot accomplish.

Fort Worth, TX

What characters have you played on Story Time (list as many as you can remember)?
Servant, Hagar, Angel, Ruth,  Gabriel, Queen Zipporah, Bilhah Queen of Sheba

What character was your favorite and why?
I loved playing Zipporah because I got to play her through the different seasons and events in her life in the story of Moses.

Favorite Story Time memory:
My favorite memory is from the time we did the story of Ruth. Cinda, Linda, and I were preparing to shoot the last scene scheduled before lunch. While we were practicing, we said it'd be really great if we could do the scene in one take without any mistakes - something that doesn't happen very often! I remember shooting the scene and the whole time hoping that none of us would mess up. And none of us did! We did the whole thing perfectly. Miss Brenda said "It's a keeper!" and we all went to lunch! It was a great scene and so much fun to do!

What is you favorite Bible story (doesn't have to be one that you acted in--just in general) Why?
The story of Esther has always been a real favorite of mine. I love her strong faith and bravery.

Favorite Bible verse?
Isaiah 40:31 – But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Encouraging words for today's kids:
Stay close to Jesus! He loves you so much and has an amazing plan for your life! Trust Him with your life and you will have the adventure of a lifetime!

Different types of merchants, guards, soldiers, poor man, prisoner, disciple, a drunk man at a party, Mordecai , Moses,s father, holy man, one of Joseph's brothers.

What character was your favorite and why?
I guess, the prisoner that was dragged all the way across the village yelling and screaming at everyone. It was a fun part. Even though I lost my voice from 6 takes :)

Favorite Story Time memory:
I don't know. It's been to long since we did the programs that I have forgotten a lot of things.

What is you favorite Bible story (doesn't have to be one that you acted in--just in general) Why?
I'm sorry I just can't remember all of them.

Favorite Bible verse?
Psalm 23: 1-6 – A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Encouraging words for today's kids:
God loves you so much, each and every one. Stay close to Him, trust Him. He will see you through the good and the bad times and will never leave you.

Ryan Hayes

Ryan T. Hayes Ph.D.

Where do you live?
Berrien Springs, MI

What is your occupation?
Professor of Chemistry at Andrews University

What characters have you played on Story Time (list as many as you can remember)?
Jacob

See Ryan in program #305 as Jacob

What character was your favorite and why?
Jacob. Well, it is my only one so far. It was really neat to act in this Story Time since man who acted as Esau in the story was actually my real brother. My brother and I are "Irish Twins" which means we are less than 1 year apart. We are a lot like Jacob and Esau. It was neat to spend time together acting in this program together. My brother and I got in lots of trouble as kids because we were always "acting up" so it was neat to "act out" together as adults. I really like the story of Jacob because it tells that we all get second chances to follow God. I like that Jacob had a real relationship with God. He was willing to wrestle with the someone he thought was an enemy for the whole night to protect his family.

Favorite Story Time memory:
My brother and I acted out the wrestling scene between Jacob and the Angel. My brother played Esau and the Angel as well. We all thought that was really cool! We had to do that scene so many times that I got bruises on my upper arm from my brother squeezing my arms. He didn't get any bruises so I guess he is stronger than me! It was like we were kids again and wrestling each other.

What is you favorite Bible story (doesn't have to be one that you acted in--just in general) Why?
The life of Joseph, especially his time in Egypt. His whole life was filled with disappointment and challenges, yet he still followed God. I've had a good life, but still had challenges. Joseph's determination to honor God in every phase of his life motivates me to be a better person.

Favorite Bible verse?
Romans 1:20 (NKJV) - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Encouraging words for today's kids:
As a scientist, I've encountered God in so many ways. He is real. He is the Creator of this world, and we are not hear by some accident. That helps me to believe and know that God is amazing, creative, and thoughtful. We can trust Him for everything in our lives. Please learn to walk with Him everyday just like you would walk with your mom or dad. Be patient with yourself and with others as you learn to trust Him with all of your life.

Priscilla Meyer

Where do you live?
Düsseldorf, Germany

What is your occupation?
I am a part-time educator and also work as an actress and musician.

What characters have you played on Story Time (list as many as you can remember)?
Widow with Prophet Elisha in the story of The Widow and the Oil Pots, Overseer to Pharaoh in the Tower of Babel, Attendant to the King in Queen Esther's visit, and a farm worker in the story of The Boy of Shunem.

What character was your favorite and why?
I really enjoyed playing the Widow with the two sons who after her husband died, was left with a huge debt she couldn't pay. She didn't have anything of value except for a small pot of oil. In faith, she and her sons gathered many pots and under the instruction of the Prophet Elisha, started pouring out into each pot from that very small pot of oil. As she began to pour, the oil started to flow. In the end, all pots were full and overflowing and she had more than enough oil to sell to pay her debt. The story reminds me of many times in my life when I couldn't seem to find a solution to a difficult problem, and in that situation, I remember feeling utterly helpless because I couldn't see a solution in sight. However, the Lord in His faithfulness has proved true time and time again, and always provided a way where I didn't see one. He simply wanted me to trust Him in faith, just as the Woman and the Oil Pots did. He has never failed me, and never will. As the writer of Hebrews so clearly states, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!!! Amen!!! (Heb. 13:8)

Favorite Story Time memory:
My favorite memory is when Vince Williams , who played the debt collector on the set of The Widow and the Oil Pots, came seeking me at my on-stage house and inquired of the money I owed for my husbands debt. As I peered at him through the window from inside my house, preparing to give my next line, he suddenly grabbed for my throat - all in jesting of course, and I let out the loudest scream ever, as I was totally unprepared for this action! It simply wasn't in the script - haha! We all had such a good laugh :) This was definitely a classic blooper for Kids Time!!!.

What is you favorite Bible story (doesn't have to be one that you acted in--just in general) Why?
My favorite Bible story is the Woman with the Issue of Blood. I love the faith of this woman! Although she had suffered for 12 years of an incurable sickness, she knew if she could only touch the hem of Jesus garment, she would be healed. This woman had unwavering hope and determination, in spite of her hopeless situation. The story never fails to remind me that it only takes one touch from the Master to change a life forever. What Jesus did for her, He can do for you!

Favorite Bible verse?
Hebrews 6:11 (NKJV) - And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end

Encouraging words for today's kids:
Put the Lord first in your life and seek His face in all your doings and ways . He has a great plan for your life!!!
